Photo Albums

The Photo Album feature showcases photo galleries within the mobile app.

NOTE: The Photo Album feature is currently available only in Regional Applications. If you'd like a Photo Album in your Festival App, reach out to a Mobile Producer to inquire.

This guide covers image preparation, album configuration, and best practices to ensure a consistent and optimal experience for mobile users viewing a Photo Album.

Photo Album Image Requirements

Recommended Image Format

  • Use WebP image format whenever possible.

  • WebP provides:

    • High image quality

    • Smaller file sizes

    • Faster app performance

    • Reduced overall app size

File Size Best Practice

  • Convert large image files before uploading.

  • Source images may be 2-3 MB or larger, but should be optimized to reduce app impact.

Image Orientation Consistency

For the best visual experience in the app:

  • ✅ Use all portrait OR all landscape oriented images within a single album

  • ❌ Do not mix portrait and landscape oriented images within the same album when possible.

Consistent image dimensions create a cleaner, more professional appearance across the album experience.

  • Image orientation is consistent across the album

  • Album title and description are complete

  • Images display correctly

  • Album appears in navigation

Promoting Photo Albums

Internal App Links to the Album Hub and Albums can be generated using the Internal Link Builder.

Link to the Album Hub

The preferred entry point for users is the Tile Menu, where all photo albums are hosted.

Use an Internal Link to the Album Hub when:

  • Creating homepage promotions

  • Adding Top Banner links

  • Referencing the photo gallery experience

Link Directly to an Album

If highlighting a specific gallery, use an Internal Link to a single Album. This allows users to be taken directly to the selected album rather than the album hub.

Use an Internal Link to an album in:

  • Banners, posts, or promotional content.
